The purpose of the report is to describe, based on actual billing/treatment records, the providers who actively and routinely treat comp-based injuries. This is a long report with lots of tables, but you can learn a great deal about this important topic reading just the first couple of sections. Medical care for occupational injuries is a very distinct subset of healthcare across the US. Understanding the ins and outs of this specialty community is vital to managing a large comp program effectively. Those of us who have worked in managing comp claims for many years think that getting the injured worker to the right medical provider is the single most important act in managing towards a successful outcome.
